Look at How Better the Miami Dolphins are Getting

Week #1 in the 2019 NFL regular season, "my" Miami Dolphins were defeated by 49 points by the Baltimore Ravens.  The following week defending Super Bowl champions New England Patriots beat them by only 43 points...hey, I see some improvement here.  So the following weeks I had my hopes high and wasn't disappointed: the Dallas Cowboys next won over my Dolphins by only 25 points...and it only gets better: last week they played the San Diego Los Angeles Clippers Chargers and were whupped by just 20 points...can you believe how good they're getting?

I'm sure glad that Miami got a bye week off from playing this weekend after improving so much from week to week: they need the well-deserved rest from their accomplishments...at this rate they'll probably be losing their games at season's end by only a touchdown or even less...

Congrats to Heat, Help Sonics Find Way Back Home

The Miami Heat won their NBA championship playoff series against the Seattle Supersonics by handily defeating their opponents in the fifth game 121-106.  It was a great team effort, with the bench being a big factor in the victory.  Much is being made of the fact that LeBron James finally won a championship.  That must be an awful burden to place on someone: you'd better win it all or you're a loser (and if you do win we'll hate you anyway).  But that was the same kind of label that Dallas Mavericks star Dirk Nowitzki was saddled with until his team won the championship last year.  I couldn't care less that James left Cleveland for Miami, or that the Heat were an assembled, artificial team.  Well, if they were, than so were the Boston Celtics a few years earlier. But I didn't hear the negative outcry against them for this that has been so vehemently directed against Miami.  Last year I rooted against Miami because I was tired of LeBron James giving up in the middle of games and showing poor sportsmanship toward opposing teams.  He has certainly come a long way and matured a great deal.  I wish him only the best.

As for the Supersonics, it is a shame that they lost their way and got stuck playing in a place like Oklahoma.  I'll be happy to help them find their way back home, though, with my Google Maps feature.  But even if they just go west until they run into the Pacific Ocean, and then turn right and keep going in a generally northward direction hugging the coast, they're bound to run into western Washington state.  And I bet the good folks up there would then be only too glad to guide their returning hoops heroes back home to Coffeetown...

Obnoxious and Endless [fill-in-the-blank]

The very afternoon, yesterday, that I wrote and published an article titled "Obnoxious and Endless Road Work", criticizing the intrusive and drawn out road work going on in my subdivision (and especially right in front of my house), the "crew" went right to it, finally paving the street on my block. Whoopee!

Now I don't want to flatly claim that it was my article that spurred them to action, but facts are facts. I published it and just a few hours later, I got some redress. So naturally, now that I know I have "The Power", why not try it out on some other areas and see what happens? Like...

Obnoxious and Endless Wars in Iraq and Afghanistan
Obnoxious and Endless Unwelcome Appearances of Sarah Palin on My TV
Obnoxious and Endless Days When No One Gives Me A Million Dollars
Obnoxious and Endless Lousy Songs on Broadcast Radio
Obnoxious and Endless Supply of Politicians Pretending to be Angry in Order in Gain Public Favor Obnoxious and Endless Line of Pathetic "Reality" Shows on TV

Well, let's cut it off there, for now. Let's see...maybe just putting the above on my blog will solve all of those problems.

Can't I at least hope?
