Welcome to the "official" beginning of summer, 2025, which according to the TV meteorologist began this evening with the summer solstice at 10:42. Of course, we've been feeling the summer heat for weeks, so that crossing over is merely a formality. In my musings about the lack of long distance races in Florida this time of year I've investigated more northern locales that still hold marathons and/or half-marathons and came up with a few events. The only problem with that is when heat waves sweep over those areas, which is what's going on the northeastern part of America. Florida, by contrast...although still hot...seems more hospitable...
